Australia Bucket List: 50 things to do Down Under

I am trying really hard not to make too many specific plans for when I arrive in Australia because I want to have the freedom to be a bit spontaneous and go with the flow. However, this hasn’t stopped me searching for things to see and do on my travels! I’ve made an Australia Bucket List so that I can tick off some of the things I want to do while in Oz.

  1. Scuba Dive in the Great Barrier Reef
  2. Take a selfie with the Sydney Opera House
  3. Visit Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo
  4. See Penguins on Philip Island
  5. Travel the Great Ocean Road
  6. Trek through the Daintree Rainforest
  7. Sail the Whitsunday Islands
  8. See Kangeroos on the beach
  9. Experience sunrise and sunset at Uluru
  10. Take a dip in Lake McKenzie, Fraser Island
  11. See a Platypus in the wild
  12. Learn to surf
  13. See baby turtles hatch and make their way to the ocean
  14. Watch the fireworks in Darling Harbour
  15. Work on a tan at Bondi Beach
  16. Get tipsy wine tasting in the Yarra Valley
  17. Snorkel in the Ningaloo Reef
  18. Learn to throw a boomerang
  19. Cuddle a Koala Bear
  20. Throw another shrimp on the Barbie! Enjoy a BBQ on the beach
  21. Explore the Blue Mountains
